County Wicklow

The past week was a little weird and unexpected. The family I nanny for (Patrick, Lauren and Daniel) is still waiting on some paperwork to move into their new house in County Cavan, so they temporarily moved to County Wicklow to Lauren’s sisters’ house, which is currently empty….

The good:

-County Wicklow is BEAUTIFUL. The Ireland I have always imagined.

-The house we’re staying in is 2 km from the Irish Sea/the beach

-I have gotten lots of bonding time with Daniel, and actually the whole family

The bad:

-We are in the middle of nowhere, a 10 minute drive to the nearest town. That means that the most I can do outside of the house during the day is take Daniel for a walk. To give you an idea of how remote it is, we went for a walk one afternoon on the road that passes the house, and only 4 cars passed us in a span of 45 minutes. 4.

-No internet
