Worth it

Sometimes I forget what I’m worth. I beat myself up for not having more of my life figured out, for not being a better friend, for being too emotional, over-thinking things, the list goes on and on. Then God reminds me that I don’t have to have my future figured out and that it’s physically incapable for me to be perfect at everything.  He reminds me that He created me, died for me, loves me, and is in the process of making me holy and more like Himself.

My life is not defined by my job, my boyfriend, my family, my friends, or how beautiful or in-shape I am. It is defined by Jesus. When God reminds me of these things, it’s amazing how my “self-confidence” rises. But it’s not actually self-confidence. It’s the confidence of knowing that however messed up I am, God loves me and is in control of my life. And to Him I will always be “worth it.”
