Thanksgiving, a week early

Usually there are 1 or 2 words that describe what my heart is feeling at the moment, and thankfulness has dominated this year. So, here is what I’m thankful for right now:

-My sisters come home tomorrow for Thanksgiving, meaning our whole family will be together for the first time in over 10 months.

-I started a new job this week, working as an assistant for a real estate agent. I am still in awe of how God provided this so quickly, and how nice my boss is. I think I am going to love it.

-My mom’s recovery from surgery

-Getting to celebrate my dad’s birthday earlier this week by going out for Mexican food. Here’s a picture of us:

-Coming back from Ireland to a whole new closet of clothes, that either I left behind or my sisters didn’t take to school.

-Warm weather and sunshine (the “cold front” that supposedly hit Texas this week was still warmer than probably 75% of my time in Ireland)

-Carlos. Absence does make the heart grow fonder.

-Slowly getting acclimated to life back in America. I have had several moments of being overwhelmed (Austin is much bigger and people move much faster than I remember), but God is gracious and has given me lots of time to remember and process the past year.

What are you thankful for?

Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever!

-Psalm 107:1
