I’m starting a new job on Monday at a non-profit organization in southeast Austin. On paper, this is my dream job. When people have asked me what in the world I can do with an Intercultural Studies degree, emphasis in International Development, it is the job I have attempted to describe. Perhaps my favorite part is that the community that the organization is in is almost completely Spanish-speaking.
I didn’t seek out this opportunity at all; on the contrary, it fell into my lap. I’m not advocating laziness or expecting God to hand you good things without doing your part, but this is a reminder that God knows what you need (and want) before you ask (Matthew 6:8). He knows the desires of your heart-those desires that you may not always verbalize to others, or even to God.
In other news, Carlos was here from March 11 till 18 (still getting used to him being gone!), and it was wonderful to have 8 days together before life is about to get a lot busier for both of us. This trip I was really grateful for beautiful weather, that Carlos got to meet more of my family and friends, and the fact that his flight getting here was on time, and his flight leaving was delayed. I’ll write more about his visit soon, but until then, here are some photos and thanks for reading!
