I have too much to say about this last trip to even try. It was wonderful. My heart is still full. I will leave you with photos and minimal words:
Saraperos baseball game (this is evidence Mexicans like baseball…for those Americans ((like me)) who weren’t aware)
At Televisa Saltillo (P.S. Carlos’ photography is the background!)
Saltillo is pretty! You can see the mountains everywhere
We visited Lety (Carlos’ friend who I met in Ireland 🙂 ) at her job at the Quinta Real hotel
Recognize the guy in blue? 😉 Carlos plays in a soccer league with his co-workers, so I went to watch him play on Saturday. I probably laughed out loud 3 times just thinking about how funny and wonderful life is, for me to somehow be in Mexico standing on the sidelines at my boyfriend’s soccer game. It made me happy.
The view from Carlos’ balcony
A good bakery
My love affair with chilaquiles continues
Pastel de mango (not pictured: pecan pie)
Another love affair
Our first meal together: giant tacos!
Did you know there is a kind of taco called “la gringa?” It is, fittingly, my favorite.
Fruit is just so much better there
Balcony BBQ with Carlos’ family-here is his mom and grandma
Taco dinner with Carlos’ sister Gloria, and his parents
Rosy! (we first met in Ireland, when she came to visit Carlos)
It randomly got freezing one day, hence the sweatshirts (Mexicans love Aeropostale. It’s a fact I am still trying to understand)
Thanks for everything Carlitos and see you soon!
