I drove back to school with Hannah a few weeks ago. After 20.5 hours of non-stop driving and taking turns sleeping, we made it to Hannah’s house on Sunday afternoon. On Monday I got to see several of my dear friends (a year and a half is just too long to go in between visits!). I also went back to Biola’s campus for the first time since graduation, and met up with my RD/old boss and a few of my favorite professors. On Tuesday, Hannah and I went to Laguna Beach and ended up driving all the way to Santa Monica on the PCH. I love my sister, and am glad she always seems to get me.
Here are some photos:
Sunset in the middle of nowhere, Texas
We had a minor car mishap that was nothing duct tape couldn’t fix!
Whataburger breakfast in Phoenix
End of the road-trip reward: Coffee Bean iced coffees!
Unpacking Hannah’s room
Blueberry cake donuts from M&M. I don’t know if this place existed when I went to Biola, but if it did, I really missed out for 4 years!
Best donuts of my life.
I stopped by Professor Wamagatta’s office for a chat
Horton, you never change
My friends and I went to a British Pub in Fullerton on Monday night, and they had BLACK PUDDING! The first place I’ve seen it since I got back from Ireland.
Emily-my roommate for 2.5 years in college and probably the nicest girl I know!
Tricia always makes me laugh and encourages me!
Hannah took me to Sidecar Donuts where we split a maple bacon…
…and peach cobbler donut (not pictured: the world’s best iced coffee)
Laguna-one of my favorite places on earth
Salmon burritos at la sirena in Laguna
Santa Monica-we went to the beach here too and decided to go swimming. The water was cold, but it felt so refreshing after walking around in the sun all day.
We tried a random Middle Eastern restaurant in Santa Monica. Is it just me, or do Middle Eastern restaurants never disappoint?
It’s fun having her for a sister
After Santa Monica, we drove to Hollywood and walked around
And then we kept driving around LA and randomly drove past the LACMA, something I have always wanted to see because of this exhibit:
