A couple of weeks ago, one of my very best friends, Angela, married Weston. Angela and I became friends our very first week at Biola, in 2007. Angela is one of the most joyful, encouraging people I know, and as long as I have known her, she has always been so persistent about getting to know my heart. So needless to say, it was an amazing weekend getting to see this girl marry someone who loves her so much.
Their ceremony was in their Orthodox church and my goodness, was it breathtaking and full of meaningful traditions that were new to me. The outdoor reception at Mirimichi Golf Course was pretty great too.. We ate short ribs and strawberry shortcake and drank mojitos and danced and got bit by lots of mosquitoes.
Here are some photos from the weekend:
All of the girls stayed at the Peabody Hotel in downtown Memphis, famous for its ducks that swim in the fountain
Laura drove up from Jackson to see me one afternoon
The best, freshest salad from Tamp & Tap
Bachelorette party fun
I loved this church
Such a pretty place for a reception
Pretty table decorations
2 more dear friends from Biola-Shannon and Rachel
I loved the lights over the dance floor
I caught the bouquet again-my basketball skills come in handy!
Thanks for letting me be a part of your special day, Angela!
