God and Mexico

God has been so good to me here! Yesterday Carlos and I were talking about it and he said that I already have a house, job, friends and family here, and he’s right. That got me thinking: the times in my life where I have taken the biggest risks have turned out to be the most rewarding experiences-choosing to attend Biola and moving to Ireland are what come to mind. Even though those experiences weren’t without difficulties, I grew exponentially in all areas-emotionally, mentally, spiritually.

I have a feeling Mexico will be the same-I can already see growth. I have been praying for open hands that release control of things to God. It’s definitely a process (it seems like every day I’m discovering yet another thing I try to control), but who knows what God can and will do here if my life stops being about me. I’ll keep you posted!

(Carlos and I went to church on Sunday at the main cathedral downtown, and this was the view from where we parked.)
