The secret of contentment

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about how in the past 3 years, my circumstances have changed a lot. Granted, I wanted several of the changes, but there have also been some I never expected and certainly didn’t ask for. And unfortunately, the latter changes have made me complain and ask God what He thinks He’s doing, messing up my plans.

Paul from the Bible amazes me. He endured way more hardships than I will probably ever have to (I mean, the guy wrote Philippians in jail). Hopefully one day (and sooner rather than later), my attitude can be like his:

“…for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. I can do all things through him who strengthens me.” -Philippians 4:11-13
