A Weekend in the Mountains

Last weekend, we left Saltillo, drove for about two hours on a windy, narrow “highway,” and arrived at the cutest little town in the mountains: Ciénega de González, Nuevo León. We rented a cabin with three other families and spent the weekend grilling, playing baseball and soccer with the kids, and jumping on the trampoline. I had heard about the beauty around these parts, and I can’t believe it took me nearly five years to see it for myself.

We stayed at Cabañas del Bosque, but there is no shortage of cabins and Airbnbs in the area.

Here are some pictures, if you’d like to see:

Oh Emily, that is beautiful!! Wow. What a treasure! Clark leases land to hunt in some mountains east of Monclova. I have been once with him and think it’s one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen.

Oh, that creek! And the view of the mountains from the highway! Nice photos! I think we need a Bible study retreat out there! 😉
